The Hamilton Drug and Alcohol Awareness Committee (HDAAC) is working together with the Waterdown Education Group to develop and support a new youth drug prevention project focused on reaching and engaging parents in the Hamilton Community. Studies show when communities focus on building youth-friendly environments that support young people in developing personal and life skills, they will be less likely to use alcohol and other drugs (Search Institute, 2010).

This exciting project began in March of 2010. HDAAC would like to invite interested parents, community members and local organizations to the planning committee.
